What To Do About Anxiety

There are a number of steps you can take to improve anxiety symptoms.  While anxiety is a normal predictable part of life as Tom Corboy, MFT says, people can fix it.

Here are some of the steps you can take to combat anxiety:

  • Take a deep breath
  • Get active
  • Sleep well
  • challenge an anxious thought.
  • Say an encouraging statement
  • Definately avoid caffeine
  • Avoid mind-altering substances ("weed" and such like)
  • Do something to enjoy
  • Try to solve a problem
  • Take a break
  • Pick up a book and read
  • Engage in calming practices
  • See a therapist
  • Accept anxiety.
