What Granger calls us for

Airport runs

South Bend International is roughly fifteen minutes away. We also run flat-rate trips to O'Hare and Midway with a day's notice. See the airport shuttle page.

Wine and brewery tours

The southwest Michigan wine trail is half an hour north. We drive, you taste — no working out who stays sober or navigating back down the 31.

Notre Dame game days

Campus is close enough that plenty of Granger residents attend, and far enough that parking is a headache. Book ahead for home Saturdays.

Commuting into South Bend

Regular riders on the same route each morning, billed monthly rather than trip by trip. Useful when a car is in the shop or a licence is suspended.

Medical appointments

Non-emergency transport to Saint Joseph Health System, Memorial and clinics across the county, including passengers with mobility needs.

Shopping and errands

Grape Road and University Park Mall are minutes away. Curbside pickup with room for the bags.

Booking a cab in Granger

Call any hour. Dispatch is staffed around the clock, every day of the year. Same-day local rides are usually straightforward.

Give notice for airports and game weekends. A day ahead guarantees a vehicle when demand across the region spikes.

No surge pricing. The quoted rate holds on a football Saturday, on New Year's Eve, and in a January snowstorm.

Vans for groups. A wine tour or a family heading to the airport travels together rather than splitting across two cars.

Card payment in the vehicle. Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, chip and contactless.

About Granger

Granger is an unincorporated community in Clay and Harris townships, St. Joseph County, sitting between Mishawaka and the Michigan state line. It has no city government of its own — services come through the county and the townships — and the population is somewhere around 30,000 depending on how the boundaries are drawn.

It's largely residential, known for the Penn-Harris-Madison school district, and close enough to Notre Dame that a good number of residents work or study there. The state line puts southwest Michigan's wineries and breweries within easy reach, which is why the tour work is steady.

United Cab has driven Granger and the wider Michiana region since 2006. Licensed by the State of Indiana, commercially insured, with background checks and training for every driver.
